Argentine Tango

tango

“Tango”, which is believed to be an African word in origin, means a “meeting place” or a “special place”. However, this does not mean that Tango is originally an African dance. Habanera in Cuba, Contradanza and an African-Argentine originated dance form Candombe in Spain had been influential for the birth of Tango. Nevertheless, none of these dances had influenced Tango as much as Milonga. Milonga means a “party” or a “fiesta” and Argentine Tango, which embodies the Milango music in it, is live, exciting, cheerful and full of passion and it is instructed at Aytunç Bentürk Dance Academy by our expert instructors.

Rock’Roll

What is the most popular about this dance is when the male dancer throws the female dancer into the air and catches her back. A plenty of acrobatic movements are used in this dance. Today, Rock’n Roll has become a competition dance mostly performed for shows. It was born in the USA and after 1945 it found a place in Europe as well and it is instructed at Aytunç Bentürk Dance Academy by the instructors who are experts in their field.
